This puts mine to shame haha. I'm applying this year too this is fantastic, kind of wished I'd done more of a line drawing like this, trying to do shaded complete photorealism didn't work out too well for me
Oh don't even worry about it, you're going to get in without a doubt. This is fantastic, and your portfolio alone is enough to impress anyone. You are honestly miles ahead of where most people your age. I mean, just look at my portfolio then yours. No comparison really. I too am applying to RISD, and I'm pretty sure you will get in with a substantial scholarship. Be sure to put up if you got in!
No, you made it less ordinary by breaking out of the borders in the key areas. Shows very good composition and decision making. What you chose to render and what you let go to blurry tone also showcases your skill beyond your years. I'm now a big fan, and I've placed you on my watch list, which is very short! Again, hope you have a blast at RISD. While I agree with the DArtist who said you don't need more school, I think RISD is an amazing education, in so much more than an academic sense. Your portfolio is already better than most graduates, but I think iron sharpens iron, and you will learn so much from your fellow students that the professors are just the gravy! I like how your personality comes out in your work too. You seem like a blast. You're going to love Wintersession.
This is freaking sweet! I'm applying to RISD next year, and am looking toward the process with anticipation, and... well... horror. I hope my bike drawing can reach the same degree of excellence as yours. <3
Break a leg! ... Sorry, totally a theatre thing, but I feel like "GL" is the almighty curse LOL.
